Terms of Use

These terms govern your access to and use of the PracticeBuds website (the "Site"), operated by Root and Rise Enterprises, a sole proprietorship registered in India at House No. 499, Sector 31, Gurgaon, Haryana 122001, India ("PracticeBuds", "we", "us").

By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who may use PracticeBuds

You must be 18 or older to use the Site. PracticeBuds is for parents, guardians, tutors and teachers who select and print material for children. Children may use worksheets you print for them; they should not use the Site themselves without adult supervision.

By using the Site you confirm that you are 18 or over and are not barred from using it under any applicable law.

2. What PracticeBuds provides

PracticeBuds generates printable practice worksheets and answer keys. Worksheets are produced by deterministic code from a numeric seed, so a worksheet can be reproduced exactly and its answer key corresponds to the questions shown.

You can always preview a worksheet without an account. Downloading and printing requires a free account, and is subject to two tiers described on our Membership page:

  • Free. Available to anyone with an account, at no cost, indefinitely. Free accounts may download a limited number of worksheets per day and over the lifetime of the account. Current limits are shown at the point of download and may change from time to time.
  • Premium. A paid membership that unlocks the access described on the Membership page at the time you sign up. We may offer new members a free trial period of Premium access from time to time; see Section 8.

3. Disclaimers regarding educational use

  • PracticeBuds is supplementary practice material. It is not a curriculum, not an assessment instrument, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for teaching, tutoring, or professional educational, psychological or medical advice.
  • Worksheets are generated by software algorithms. While we test our code extensively to ensure answer keys match worksheet questions, we do not warrant that every generated item is free from error, typo or ambiguity.
  • You are responsible for reviewing any worksheet before giving it to a child to ensure it is appropriate for their age, skill level and learning needs.

4. Your licence to use our worksheets

Your rights to print, copy and distribute PracticeBuds material are set out in full in our Copyright, Licence & Takedown Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: print freely for your own family, classroom or tutoring students; do not resell, republish, redistribute publicly, or use our material to build a competing product.

5. Things you agree not to do

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, spider, mine, bulk-download or systematically extract any part of the Site or its content by automated means, except by a search engine obeying our robots.txt
  • Use the Site's content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground any machine learning or artificial intelligence system, or to build any dataset for that purpose, without our prior written permission
  • Bulk-download worksheets you are not about to use, or otherwise place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
  • Circumvent, disable or interfere with any security, rate-limiting or access-control feature
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of any part of the Site
  • Frame the Site, or present our content as your own or as anyone else's
  • Remove, obscure or alter any copyright notice, watermark, logo or attribution
  • Upload or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, malicious or harmful
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization
  • Enter any personal information about a child anywhere on the Site
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law

We may rate-limit, restrict or block access where we reasonably believe this section is being breached.

6. Intellectual property

The Site and everything on it — worksheets, answer keys, generators, source code, layout, design, typography, illustrations, taxonomy, text and the PracticeBuds and Root and Rise names and logos — is owned by us or licensed to us and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except for the licence granted in our Copyright policy, all rights are reserved. Nothing on the Site grants you a licence to any trademark.

Third-party names mentioned on the Site belong to their respective owners.

7. Accounts

An account is required to download or print a worksheet. You create an account by signing in with Google.

  • You will be asked to confirm you are 18 or over when you sign in. Providing a false confirmation is a breach of these terms and we may terminate the account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account, and must tell us promptly at contact@practicebuds.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • Accounts are personal to you. Do not share credentials or transfer your account. Individual accounts are for one person or one household.
  • Do not create an account for a child, and do not enter a child's personal information anywhere.
  • We keep a record of the worksheets downloaded under your account so we can enforce Free-tier download limits, provide re-download access to worksheets you have already generated, and (for Premium members) determine your membership status. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.
  • You may delete your account at any time from within the product. Deleting your account removes your download history and membership records as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of any amount already paid; see Section 8.

8. Membership, billing and payment

8.1 Free trial

We may offer new members a free trial period of Premium access from time to time. When offered, a trial's duration, eligibility and any other terms are shown to you before you activate it, on the Membership page or at the point you claim it. A trial is limited to one per person, including after a prior trial has expired, and we may withdraw or change the trial offer at any time without affecting a trial already in progress.

8.2 Paid membership

Premium membership can be purchased for the fee and billing period (monthly or annual) shown at checkout at the time of purchase. Membership does not renew automatically. When your free trial or a paid period ends, your account reverts to Free-tier access unless and until you purchase another membership period. We will tell you before your access is due to end.

If we change our prices, the new price applies to periods you purchase after the change. A period you have already paid for is not affected by a later price change.

8.3 Payment processing

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, not by us directly. Customers in India are billed through Razorpay; customers elsewhere are billed through a payment processor we will identify at checkout. We never see or store your card number, CVV or other full payment credentials — those are handled entirely by our payment processor, subject to that processor's own terms. We retain only transaction and membership records necessary to administer your account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8.4 Refunds

Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, email contact@practicebuds.com with your account email and the reason for your request. We are not obligated to issue a refund except where required by applicable law, but we will review every request in good faith.

8.5 Admin, promotional and partner access

We may grant free or discounted access to specific individuals or groups (for example, teachers, partners or promotional participants) at our discretion, on terms we communicate at the time. Such access does not entitle any other member to the same terms.

9. Service changes and availability

We aim to keep the Site reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend, withdraw, update or change any part of the Site without notice. We are not liable if the Site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL WORKSHEETS, GENERATORS, CONTENT AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, VIRUS-FREE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ROOT AND RISE ENTERPRISE, ITS PROPRIETOR, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SITE OR ANY WORKSHEET, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Root and Rise Enterprises and its proprietor from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

  • Governing law. These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Jurisdiction. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
  • Informal resolution. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing contact@practicebuds.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you by email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, either party may bring a formal proceeding.

14. General provisions

  • Severability. If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  • Waiver. Failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Entire agreement. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, Children's Privacy Notice and Copyright Policy, are the whole agreement between us regarding the Site.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms without restriction.
