Ordering fractions requires finding common denominators, comparing to benchmark fractions, or converting to decimals to sequence multiple fractional values in increasing or decreasing order.

Teaching Tips
- Convert all fractions to a common denominator first, write the new equivalent fractions right above the originals, and then order them by looking at the tops.
Common Mistakes
- Ordering by numerator size only while ignoring different denominators.
- Ordering by denominator size in reverse order.
- Misreading directions and ordering greatest to least when asked for least to greatest.
